Salt Shield System	The Salt Shield System is a two-step process. Step 1: Salt Shield detergents use a unique chemistry that “neutralizes” the corrosive effects of magnesium and calcium chloride. Road deicers exposed to Salt Shield become soluble in water allowing for easy removal. Salt Shield prevents the road deicers from causing further damage to your vehicles. Step 2: For added protection, use Salt Shield Barrier. This product leaves a protective film that provides temporary protection from road salts between cleanings. After you have cleaned the underside of the vehicle with Salt Shield detergent, spray the underside of a clean vehicle with no-rinse Salt Shield Barrier and drive away. 	Salt Shield 100 is a low pH detergent used for touchless cleaning, friction washes or manual brushing. Can be applied to all external surfaces of the vehicle for exceptional cleaning and mitigation of corrosive effects of winter road salt. Spray on the undercarriage of vehicles for maximum effect. Polished metal safe aluminum cleaner. Salt Shield Hi Foam is a low pH detergent used for friction or brush type automatic washes or manual brushing. Salt Shield Barrier leaves a protective barrier that provides temporary protection from road salts between cleanings. CASE STUDY:

In 2009, a northwestern public transit authority in a large city had a problem. The transit authority was purchasing new vehicles and the manufacturer would not honor their warranty unless the transit authority could document their use of a product to neutralize the magnesium chloride found in the local winter road salt.

Ver-tech Labs was able to provide them with Salt Shield Hi Foam to use as part of their routine vehicle wash. For the last two years, the transit authority has been washing every one of the 140 buses a day using the Ver-tech Labs product in their friction wash and undercarriage vehicle spray. The corrosive effects of road salt have been significantly mitigated and vehicle appearance has been exceptional.

During the summer months, the transit authority planned to used a "lower cost" competitor product. The change in product use resulted in complaints about the cleanliness of the vehicles. Additionally, an investigation of cost-per-bus determined that the competitor's lower cost product was MORE expensive to use than the Ver-tech Labs product! The transit authority pays less than $170 per year per bus for dramatically reduced corrosion problems.
